Sacred Mountain of Salvation Tashtar-Ata
Civilization Model
It is silent here now.
The breath of eternity caught in this silence.
Scaling the hills
towards the Buddhist trees,
the silence becomes eerie.
Ascending towards her peak,
the oxygen thins.
Passing another 100 feet,
you drift into new dimensions.
Carried away
behind the pneumatic portal of the present,
invisible glass.
This world is so small,
now left at the bottom.
It’s down there somewhere
far, far away.
For centuries, people have traveled great distances to the sacred mountain of Tashtar-Ata. It is a mazar (holy place); prayers and wishes disguised as pieces of fabric tied softly on the branches of trees are reminiscent of Buddhism infused with philosophical and mystic beliefs still practiced today in present day Kyrgyzstan.
Prayers vary. Some people pray to have a child; others for their sons to return home safely. Still others pray for the strength to overcome their drug and alcohol addiction. Tashtar-Ata is a scared place that possesses the power of healing. The Civilizations Model frees your mind allowing it to embrace the historical, philosophical and spiritual meaning connected to Tashtar-Ata. Your past has brought you to this mountain, your present desires salvation, and your future envisions happiness.
The Jenishbek Nazaraliev Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center is nestled in the foothills of Tashtar-Ata, located in the town of Besh-Kungey. The facility is eloquently landscaped with petite dachas, weeping willows and glacier fed rivers that offer breath-taking scenery overshadowed with a sense of peacefulness. A patient, if he/she has the will and desire to do so, may ascend Tashtar-Ata at any time during the decisive stage.
After undergoing intensive care treatment at the medical center, patients are then transferred to the rehabilitation center. At the rehabilitation center, patients are prepared for the next phase of the treatment program, for example, SEPT or the Pilgrimage.
For the convenience of our patients and their co-dependents, facilities at the rehabilitation center include:
• Sauna;
• Stone Garden
• Swimming pool with artesian water;
• Tennis court;
• Soccer field;
• Waterfall;
Healthy meals, dairy products, and organic fruits and vegetables harvested from our garden are provided three times a day.
